Within GA Telesis, the People Operations Department supports the total operation in meeting its goals through its most valuable resource-its PEOPLE.  People Operations is seeking a Human Resources Intern to aid and help facilitate the human resource processes across the company. This position provides support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry. This role will support the GA Telesis headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Reporting to the Global Talent and University Partnership Manager, the ideal candidate will use their interpersonal, and organizational skills to assist the human resources team to complete their day-to-day tasks.

**Important Notice
 Eligibility Requirement: Only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
  • Submit new-employee background checks and drug test requests.
  • Assist with recruitment and interview process as needed.
  • Maintain Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) records, ensuring data accuracy through self-audits and reports.
  • Complete project-based work as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned by your manager.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
