We are looking for a detail-oriented Chemical Technician to join our rapidly expanding international company, GA Telesis Engine Services Oy (GATES), specializing in jet engine repairs and located at Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport.
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting chemical processes that are critical to engine maintenance and component repair. Your work will include chemical processing tasks in the laboratory and production environment, chemical usage quality control, and ensuring regulatory compliance in close cooperation with the Process Engineer.
You are a good fit for this role if you have previous experience in similar tasks, strong attention to detail, an organized approach to your work, and strong teamwork and collaboration skills. We value a hands-on mindset and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, including a willingness to investigate issues and identify development opportunities.
This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
- Support chemical processes throughout the engine overhaul process, including laboratory, process line, surface treatment line, and NDT, etc.
- Perform chemical bath analyses, quality testing, and corrective adjustments to maintain compliance with approved processes and specifications
- Ensure that chemical usage and storage comply with manufacturer requirements, safety and regulatory standards
- Monitor and control chemicals with limited-service life
- Participate in chemical safety risk assessments and maintain accurate chemical inventories
- Act as a chemical subject matter expert in matters related to authority permits and regulatory documentation
- Participate, when required, in general maintenance and refurbishment activities within surface treatment and process line units.
- Applicable degree and experience in chemistry, chemical engineering, laboratory technology, or related fields
- Solid understanding of inorganic chemistry
- Knowledge of chemical safety regulations and handling practices
- Ability to work accurately and systematically in a regulated environment
- Proficiency in both Finnish and English, written and spoken
- Good IT and computer skills
- Good collaboration and communication skills
- Experience in an industrial, laboratory, or MRO environment is considered an advantage
