We are GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES), a growing international jet engine MRO located at Helsinki Airport, Finland. We are looking for a SPAH Lead Mechanic / Inspector to join our international Hospital Shop Visit team (SPAH), that handles quick-turnaround engine shop visits involving inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting.
You will participate and lead the CF6-80 engine assembly and disassembly work, ensuring that the work meets the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will also perform inspections and assist with troubleshooting.
Hospital visits are usually unscheduled and fast-paced, so we’re looking for someone who can stay flexible and adapt quickly. This is a full-time permanent role including morning and evening shift work. The role may require working outside regular hours, depending on the SPAH Production situation.

As a condition of employment, a security clearance will be conducted by Finavia Oyj and the Finnish Security Intelligence Service (SUPO) in accordance with the Security Clearance Act (726/2014).

Responsibilities
- Lead group of mechanics during engine assembly/disassembly, supervise the work
- Assist mechanics with their tasks and troubleshooting
- Perform assembly, disassembly, part, module, and engine inspections
- Report work progress to Team Leads and cover for them in case of absences
- Make sure that work is carried out according to all standards
- Responsible for maintaining and promoting 6S standards within the assigned work area
Requirements
- CF6-80 engine experience and qualifications are required, CFM56-5B/7B are seen as a plus
- Experience on module installation and assembly measurements
- Understanding on how to read and interpret SBs
- Familiar with assembly/disassembly and part, module, and engine inspections
- Strong communication skills to lead group, understands and delivers instructions clearly
- Basic IT skills, and can use Engine & Aircraft Maintenance Manuals as needed
- Able to prepare reports and attend to inspections with customer representatives
- Positive mindset, problem solver and likes to help others
