We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Risk Management Specialist to support the organization’s Health & Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance programs. Reporting to the VP of Quality & Engineering this role will assist in the implementation, monitoring, auditing, and continuous improvement of workplace safety and quality systems to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and company requirements.

The Risk Management Specialist will work closely with employees, supervisors, Quality Assurance, Operations, Engineering, and management to identify hazards and non-conformances, evaluate operational risks, conduct internal audits and compliance surveillance, and support effective corrective actions. This position serves as an independent resource for identifying potential safety, quality, and regulatory risks before they result in workplace injuries, quality escapes, customer findings, or regulatory non-compliance. The role will support a proactive culture of Safety, Quality, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement throughout the organization. This position is located in Medley, FL.

Responsibilities
  • Support compliance with OSHA, FAA Part 145, company safety policies, the RSQCM, customer requirements, and applicable Quality Management System standards.
  • Conduct workplace safety inspections, risk assessments, hazard analyses, and routine compliance surveillance.
  • Identify safety hazards, quality non-conformances, procedural deviations, and regulatory risks, and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled internal quality audits and document findings and observations.
  • Participate in safety, quality, incident, near-miss, and compliance investigations as required.
  • Track audit findings, safety observations, and corrective actions through completion and assist in verifying effectiveness.
  • Support emergency preparedness, employee safety programs, and development of safe and compliant work practices.
  • Assist Quality Assurance with internal audit schedules, records, customer/regulatory audits, and follow-up activities.
  • Promote employee awareness and reporting of safety hazards, quality concerns, and potential non-compliance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on preventing injuries, quality escapes, and regulatory non-compliance.
  • Maintain independence, confidentiality, and objectivity when performing internal audits.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in health and safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or a related field, preferably in aviation maintenance, manufacturing, or an industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements; knowledge of FAA Part 145, aviation quality systems, or internal auditing principles preferred.
  • Experience conducting safety inspections, internal audits, compliance surveillance, or investigations preferred.
  • OSHA 10/30, Internal Auditor, AS9110/AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar training/certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify hazards and non-conformances and effectively communicate and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Ability to maintain professional objectivity and confidentiality when performing audits and investigations.
