We are looking for a flexible, energetic, and self-motivated Powerplant Engineer to join our international Engineering team at the Jet Engine Overhaul and Repair Shop – GA Telesis Engine Services Oy – located at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.
As a Powerplant Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless and precise overhaul and repair of jet engines, working alongside our experienced and dedicated team.
Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining up-to-date maintenance data for jet engine repairs, providing technical support to our Production team, and ensuring compliance with EASA Part 145 and other relevant aviation authority regulations.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to explore the technical documentation of gas turbine engines, troubleshoot issues that arise during maintenance, and contribute to the development and implementation of repair solutions. Your work will directly support the safety and reliability of air travel for our global airline customers.
This is a full-time, permanent position based at our main facility located at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. At GATES, we prioritize teamwork and close collaboration, which is why we expect our employees to work primarily on-site at our office.

Main responsibilities:
- Maintain and update current maintenance data, ensuring its availability for our production team
- Engage in correspondence with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) on Jet Engine related technical matters
- Develop and enhance the Maintaining Maintenance Data process
- Provide technical support to the engine Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) team
- Assist other departments in process development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or energy engineering, or several years of experience in the MRO field
- Strong team collaboration and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills with the capacity to adapt to changing priorities
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Fluent knowledge of ERP systems
- Strong English language skills, Finnish language is a plus
- Previous experience in aviation or the power industry is an advantage
- Knowledge of databases is a plus
