Landing Gear Technician - Plater

We are seeking an experienced Landing Gear Technician to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and restoring landing gear components to airworthy standards. Utilizing specialized tools and equipment, you will perform polishing, honing, and plating of various parts, including cylinders, pistons, and bushings. Your expertise will ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures, contributing to the safety and reliability of our aviation services. Responsibilities:
- Perform polishing, honing, and/or plating of various landing gear parts, including cylinders, pistons, and bushings, using specialized tools and equipment
- Follow strict tolerances and OEM repair manuals to ensure parts are restored to airworthiness standards
- Plating tanks safely and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent and 1 to 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies
- Experience assembling aircraft/aerospace parts, components, and/or assemblies using applicable drawings, specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing plans
- Possess the ability to construct, install, dismantle, relocate, modify, and/or repair OEM equipment of all types
