Repairs Specialist

Within GA Telesis, the Flight Solution Group’s (FSG) primary focus is to meet or exceed our customer’s satisfaction. We are seeking a Repair Specialist to manage the day-to-day responsibility for repair requisitions, issuance of repair orders, and vendor management. Vendor management refers to follow ups, quote approvals, vendor performance and metrics. Reporting to the Director of Repairs, the ideal candidates will use their passion for customer service and excellent communication skills to support the FSG team. This position is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Responsibilities:
- Create, manage, and/or expedite Repair Orders according to the needs of sales and product line teams to achieve deadlines
- Select approved vendors for repair orders based on individual vendor capabilities, turnaround time, repair cost, and company objectives
- Ensure the accurate and prompt processing of repair orders
- Coordinate with various units within GA Telesis to obtain approvals, information required, etc. to perform your tasks
- Respond and follow up on vendors’ correspondence, expedites, quote approvals, discrepancies, repair pricing negotiations and other issues while building an intercompany relationship(s)
- Create reports and PowerPoint presentations to illustrate status, backlog, vendor scorecard, on time delivery, quality performance and any other metrics requested by management
- Be able to speak in front of groups for repair order status and other topics as required
- Be able to determine BER rates, Fair Market Value, and Average Repair pricing to properly make sound decisions on repairs
- Associate degree or work experience equivalent
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel desired)
- Must be organized and have great communications skills (oral & written)
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- 3 years of aviation experience
- Travel may be required to visit vendors (local/minimal)
- Quantum experience a plus
- Performs well under pressure
