The Director of Sales – Consumables and Expendables will drive revenue growth by leading the sales strategy and execution for the consumables and expendables business at GA Telesis. This role requires a seasoned sales professional with a deep understanding of aviation consumables and expendables markets, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, OEMs and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
The Director of Sales – Consumables and Expendables will drive revenue growth by leading the sales strategy and execution for the consumables and expendables business at GA Telesis. This role requires a seasoned sales professional with a deep understanding of aviation consumables and expendables markets, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, OEMs and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for consumables and expendables to meet, or preferably exceed, revenue goals.
- Identify market opportunities and create innovative growth strategies.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key accounts including commercial aircraft operators, MROs, OEMs and suppliers.
- Proactively manage pipeline development and execution using enterprise CRM software (i.e. Salesforce).
- Effectively manage both Long Term Agreement (LTA) negotiations and manage daily ad-hoc transactions.
- Collaborate with product management and supply chain teams to align sales initiatives with market demands and inventory capabilities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to proactively adapt strategies.
- Continually monitor sales performance, business costs, travel and associated expenses and regularly report out the same to senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Aviation Management or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years in sales or business development in the aviation or aerospace industry.
- In-depth knowledge of consumables and expendables products, customers and suppliers.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Highly competitive with an intense desire to win.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
