GA Telesis Engine Services Oy (GATES), located at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, is looking for an experienced Test Cell Technician to join our jet engine testing team.
Engine testing is a vital part of the engine maintenance process. In this role, you will play a central role in preparing and performing test runs for CFM56 and CF6 engines as part of our high-standard GATES team. Your workdays will involve daily test cell technician duties, but you will also be responsible for approving and supervising the work.
This is a full-time, permanent position. Work is carried out indoors in our facility located airside at the airport.
You’re a great fit for the Test Cell Lead Mechanic / Line Inspector role if you are drawn to the aviation field, have solid hands-on experience as a CFM56 and CF6 Test Cell technician, strong technical comprehension, and a willingness to take responsibility.

Key responsibilities:
  • Prepare engines and test cell for operation, and perform engine test runs
  • Monitor, evaluate, and approve test run performance and results
  • Carry out engine preservation procedures, including protective lubrication
  • Maintain test cell equipment, tools, and facilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues identified during testing
  • Provide support to other production areas when required
  • Deliver on-the-job training (OJT) to newly onboarded mechanics
We’re looking for candidates with:
  • Vocational or technical education or relevant hands-on experience
  • 5+ work experience in working with CFM56 engine test runs
  • Flexibility with working hours and readiness for shift work
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Readiness to take responsibility
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in different situations
  • A self-motivated, positive, and diligent attitude
  • Fluent English skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Strong technical understanding, eagerness to learn, and hands-on skills with various machines and tools
