Located at our Composite MRO facility in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, the Quality Assurance Analyst supports the execution and continuous improvement of the quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with aviation regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, etc.), customer expectations, and company policies. The role involves auditing, data analysis, reporting, and process validation to promote a culture of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning and execution of internal audits to assess compliance with company procedures and regulatory standards.
Analyze quality data and trends related to maintenance activities, component repairs, and process performance.
Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
Maintain and update quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and audit records.
Participate in external audits and customer inspections; coordinate responses to findings.
Monitor adherence to applicable aviation regulations (e.g., FAA Part 145, EASA Part 145, AS9110).
Track non-conformances and support follow-up actions with responsible departments.
Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality and regulatory requirements are met.
Provide support in the review and approval of technical documentation such as work orders, repair orders, and certificates of conformity.
Manage and maintain the technical records library to ensure availability and the latest version of manuals, and easy access to all aviation maintenance documentation.
Maintain and monitor employee training records to ensure proper documentation and compliance with training requirements.
Assist in Vendor/Supplier approval and upkeep.
Recommend and assist in implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and ensure product/service quality.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a quality role within an FAA Part 145 repair station or aviation-related industry.
Working knowledge of aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, AS9110).
Familiarity with quality tools such as root cause analysis, FMEA, SPC, and process audits.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with QMS software a plus.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
Six Sigma Green Belt
