Engine Services Sales Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engine Services Sales Director to lead and drive our GATES (GA Telesis Engine Services) sales division. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales leadership within the aviation sector. This role requires a strong understanding of engine services, exceptional leadership skills and the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and partners.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for overhaul and unscheduled engine removal services, aligning with overall company goals and objectives.
  • Monitor sales metrics and performance indicators to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales quotas and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Identify and target potential clients and markets for engine services, expanding the company’s customer base.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers to maximize business opportunities.
  • Drive the development of new business proposals, partnerships, and contracts to enhance the company’s position in the market.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, understanding their needs and addressing any concerns.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer requirements, industry trends, and competitive landscape to tailor solutions that meet client needs.
  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and maintain long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
  • Provide market insights to internal teams for the development of new products, services, and enhancements.
  • Recommend strategic adjustments to sales tactics based on market dynamics and feedback.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to executive leadership.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and make informed strategic decisions.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven track record of at least 8-10 years in sales leadership in the aviation industry
  • Strong understanding of engine services, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) processes.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Proven negotiation and deal-closing abilities.
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events 50-60%
