2nd Shift Disassembly Technician

The Disassembly Technician is a full-time position located in Medley, FLThis role is responsible for disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, and tagging aircraft components. It requires a deep understanding of aircraft repair, structural modifications, and mechanical troubleshooting, along with the ability to work from engineering drawings and use specialized tools and equipment. Responsibilities:
  • Complex production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations.
  •  Follows approved assembly procedures for component or aircraft structures, consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved, original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) technical data, and work package instructions
  •  Utilization of comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components
  • Operation of unique aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes, sheers, etc.
  •  Applies professional technical expertise and guidance to execute complex structures work, including but not limited to pull holes, match & back drilling, fastener removals, riveting, sleeve bolt drilling, and system, wire, and tube installations
  •  Reads and interprets engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair
Qualifications:
  • Must have a minimum of a high school education or equivalent and 1 to 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies
  • Experience assembling aircraft/aerospace parts, components, and/or assemblies using applicable drawings, specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing plans
  • Possess the ability to construct, install, dismantle, relocate, modify, and/or repair OEM equipment of all types
  • Knowledge of wiring schematics on understanding and reading a manual to install components
